Hello beauties, how are you? I hope you’re still enjoying these last summer weeks! Maybe you’re at the beach slurping a cold glass of coke (put your hands up if you’re the Coke Zero team), or trekking in a wild destination. Or why not, you might chill at home and have fun too.
What’s La Roche Posay Purifying Foaming Gel?
Today, I’ve got an important topic to talk about; as you might understand from the title, I’m going to review La Roche-Posay Purifying Foaming Gel For Sensitive Oily Skin.
La Roche-Posay is one of the leaders in skin care products, and this gel is not an exception: I have been using this product religiously every morning and every night, and yes, it works. Is it good for all different types of acne? I can’t tell, I am not a dermatologist. However, it will probably work for several cases of acne-prone skin types, but in this post I am talking about my own experience.
My experience with La Roche Posay Purifying Foaming Gel
I was used to having a moderate severity of acne until a few months ago; however, my skin improved drastically when I moved abroad this summer: my closed comedones started becoming smaller and the redness on my face skin dropped out slowly. Nevertheless, I booked a skin consultation at a skin clinic in my city to receive further professional advice.
My skin type has been diagnosed as sensible and dry. My skin complexion has been damaged during these past years by some skincare products for acne-prone skin (such as face wash, scrubs, etc…). Firstly, their usage has been too frequent and harsh on my skin, and, as a consequence, the redness increased a lot. Secondly, the closed comedones that I was used to having on my cheeks (especially on the left side) were a consequence of that intense skincare routine for acne. I used La Roche-Posay wash gel for about 4/5 months every morning once awakened and in the evening before going to bed: this skin product has weakened my skin barrier by making it drier and more sensitive.
Now, I’m using a gentle cleansing milk every day, and it leaves the skin of my face much smoother than before. Also, I haven’t been doing any skin treatments for acne this summer, and it helped to reinforce my skin complexion as well.
Is La Roche Posay a good skincare brand for acne skin?
In conclusion, I recommend La Roche-Posay for acne-prone skin which needs a deep cleansing to purify skin with a moderate acne outbreak. La Roche-Posay face wash is alcohol and oil-free and the result is visible in a short period of time. I would suggest checking out with your doctor and avoiding overusing several acne-prone skin products at the same time. Last but not least, have a clean face towel and clean all your makeup brushes after their use, it will make the difference.
The first picture shows my skin complexion before the treatment for high-sensitive skin. Whereas, the second photo shows the improvement of my skin texture after just a few uses of my new skincare routine.
That’s all for today 😉 I hope this post has been somehow helpful for anyone who is facing my past problem with acne skin!
